The two-story gabled building is stylistically classified among the eclectic buildings with elements of neo-gothic architecture (such as the pointed windows and tower-shaped finials). It is also known as “the stone tower or the stone house with the palm trees”, due to its construction of visible masonry, or otherwise “Solomos Residence ” (the first owner of the tower), but also “Tzivaniotis Residence “. , According to the morphology of the faces, its construction dates back to the last quarter of the 19th century, while its floor plan shows that the spaces are structured symmetrically around a central axis. The tower was built from the remnants of the ship sheds of Zea in second use. The building is depicted in photographs taken in 1891 by archaeologist Walter Judeich and housed in the German Archaeological Institute, thus placing its construction precisely before the last decade of the 19th century.
