The three-story building owned by N. Michailidis (former “Gallia” Hotel) is located at 117 Filonos and 114 Notara Streets, facing two parallel streets and was built in 1929. It originally functioned as a clinic. It is characterized by symmetry in the format of the faces. The two collaborating hotels are among the first high-rise buildings in Piraeus that communicated on the third floor and are characteristic examples of the interwar period architecture with the vintage terrazzo floors, the monumental marble staircase and the old-fashioned elevator frames with metal railings.
