It is a three-story building with eclectic elements, built in the 1920s by the architect Vassilis Tsagris (1882-1941). The building has a ground floor and two additional floors. The facade is characterized by strong verticality and symmetry, as it is divided into three vertical sections with false parapets throughout the height of the two floors, ending in a decorative band and pairs of cornice supporting beams, which support the endpoint of the projecting cornice. The openings on the floors of the building are recessed, creating balconies of small width, which are flanked by pilasters with imposts. The balconies are characterized by a strong decorative mood visible on the supporting piers, on the metal railings, as well as on the underlying corbels, which are all decorated with motifs of eclectic morphology. Of particular interest is the building’s main entrance, framed by a semicircular marble arch with an ellipsoidal skylight. According to the sources, the building belonged to the coal merchant I. Casanova.
