Maritime court

7682

The Maritime Court of Piraeus, the oldest of the Maritime Courts, was originally founded in the house of the widow of Nikolaos Miaoulis until 1925, when it was transferred to its current headquarters, in the building on the 66A Tryphonos Moutsopoulou coast, where it still operates today. The building is part of the wider area, in which the Russian Hospital of Piraeus was founded in 1902 by Queen Olga and which was converted into a hospital of the Hellenic Navy (Piraeus Naval Hospital) that operates to this day. The building is spread over three floors. The facade is divided vertically into three levels, as the two extreme parts are crowned with a pediment finial. The central part on the ground floor shows construction work with Piraeus stone, while on the second floor there is a small intrusion.
